Quick Access Toolbar

Available in the top-left corner of the Editor window, the Quick Access Toolbar enables you to quickly access the tools and commands you often use, and you can place it above or below the Ribbon area.

By default, the toolbar contains the following shortcuts (from left to right):

  • New PDF file(A). Create a new PDF document with the following ways:

    • Blank PDF. Create a blank PDF document.

    • From File…. Convert the selected files to PDF and open in Right PDF Editor.

    • From Scanner. Convert a scanned document to PDF.

    • From Clipboard. Create a PDF document using the clipboard content.

    • Create PDF Portfolio. Create a PDF Portfolio that packages a variety of files in diverse formats.

    • Create Multiple Files. Batch convert multiple files to PDF.

    • Combine Multiple Files. Convert and combine files of different formats into one PDF document.

    • Overlay Multiple Files. Overlay files as one PDF document.

    • Blank Excel. Directly create a blank Excel spreadsheet.

  • Open(B). Locate a PDF file and open it.

  • Save(C). Save your current file by overwriting the previous version with your latest changes.

  • Email(D). Send the current document or just selected pages of it as an attachment via email.

  • Undo(E). Retrace your previous steps by undoing any changes to the PDF.

  • Redo(F).  Redo an action that you undid.

  • Touch/Mouse Mode(G). Due to the increased use of mobile devices, Right PDF provides Touch Mode to make toolbar buttons, panels, and feature icons drift apart slightly, so that users can easily select them with fingers. To switch back to Mouse Mode, click the Touch/Mouse Mode button  and select Mouse Mode from the menu.

  • Customize Quick Access Toolbar(H). Select options to keep just the commands you want, insert other commands into the toolbar, and minimize the Ribbon section to enlarge your document work space. You can also move the Quick Access Toolbar to the underside of the Ribbon section by selecting Show Below the Ribbon and then select Show Above the Ribbon to move it back.

Customize Quick Access Toolbar

Click the Customize Quick Access Toolbar down-pointing button on the right edge of the Quick Access Toolbar and deselect the commands you don’t want to be displayed on the Quick Access Toolbar.

Alternatively, select More Commands… from the options, and add or remove commands based on your needs in the Quick Access Toolbar tab, or manage shortcut keys in the Keyboard tab.

  • To add commands

    • Select a command from the Commands list to the left and click the Add button to add it to the list on the other side. For example: select Add Text Comment and click Add >> and then click OK. Then, the icon of Add Text Comment appears on the Quick Access Toolbar.

    • You may also right-click any button on the Ribbon and select “Add to Quick Access Toolbar” for the same purpose.

  • To remove commands

    • Select one and click the Remove button to remove it from the Quick Access Toolbar menu.

    • Click the Customize Quick Access Toolbar down-pointing button on the right edge of the Quick Access Toolbar, and select More Commands… from the options. Click the Reset button below the Command list to the right to restore the list to default settings.

    • You may also right-click any command on Quick Access Toolbar and select “Remove from Quick Access Toolbar” for the same purpose.

  • To arrange existing buttons in the Quick Access Toolbar: Use Up  and Down  buttons to change the order in which the commands appear on the Quick Access Toolbar.

 

Keyboard tab

  • To set/edit a shortcut key

    1. Select a category from the Category list to the left, and then select a command from the Command list to the right.

    2. Press keyboard buttons to form a combination in the field below (usually begin with Ctrl). Right PDF will run an automatic check for you to see if the shortcut key is available.

    3. Click Assign when finished.

    4. Click OK.

  • To remove or reset all shortcut key

    1. Select a category and a command with an existing shortcut key.

    2. Click Remove to remove the shortcut key, or click Reset All to remove all shortcut keys.

    3. Click OK.
