Batch encrypt
You can use encrypt multiple PDF documents with password or certificate in batch.

Do any of the following to open Batch Encrypt dialog box:

Choose Security > Encryption > Batch Encrypt.

Choose Start > Recent, and click Protect PDF in Quick Launch.

In the Batch Encrypt dialog box, browse and select the PDF documents or PDF portfolios to protect.

Add Files …. Add one or more files to the list (you may use Command button to select multiple files)

Add Open Files …. Add one or more currently open files to the list.

Delete. Click Delete to remove selected files from the list.

In Security Method drop-down menu, choose Password Security or Certificate Security:

Select Password Security to open Password Security dialog box, in which you can protect selected files with password. See Securing PDFs with passwords.

Select Certificate Security to open Certificate Security dialog box, in which you can protect selected files with certificate. See Securing PDFs with certificates.

(Optional) Click Settings … to set up a security method. Click Details to view security information of the document.

Click OK to encrypt selected documents in batch.
Note: you are not able to encrypt signed or certified documents. To do so, remove the signature field by choosing Form > Reset Form Fields, or use a predefined Reset Form Fields button.
