Using the advanced Multimedia tools, you can add interactive 3D models or multimedia files, including video clips and audio recordings to a PDF, transforming PDFs into multidimensional communication tools that can keep readers engaged in documents.


Multimedia preferences

You can edit Multimedia preferences in the Preferences dialog box.

  1. Do any of the following to open the Preferences dialog box:

    • Choose File > Preferences.

    • Click the Document Properties/Preferences shortcut at the top-right corner of the document pane and select Preferences from the menu.

    • Press Ctrl+K on your keyboard.

  1. In the Preferences dialog box, choose Movie > Multimedia and select the options as needed:

    • Preferred Media Player. Select the preferred application to play media content.

    • Accessibility Options. Determine whether to show supplemental text captions and audio description, and/or play dubbed audio when

    • Remove All Trusted Documents. Remove the documents currently on the Trusted Documents When a movie within PDF is played, a dialog box will appear and ask you to either play only the movie or add it to Trusted Documents. If you select the latter, you will not see the dialog box when you play movies in that document next time.
