Compare documents
You can use Compare Documents to identify any text and visual differences between two versions of the same document (Initial document and Changed document) by running page by page comparison.
This feature spots the differences for you and generates a detailed comparison report of every change, including text, fonts, and annotations.
To compare two versions of a PDF file

Open a PDF document and choose Advanced > Document Processing > Compare
.

In the Compare Documents dialog box, choose the documents to compare.

Under Comparison Type, select the type that suits your needs:

Select View visual and text differences to identify differences in image and text. Click Marking color to specify a preset color or define a custom color.

Select View text differences to ignore differences in images. Select Include font information to identify the difference in font styles.

Under Compare Range, set the comparison range by entering the page numbers in Older (Initial document) and Newer (Changed document).

Under Type of comparison report, select a report type for the comparison report:

Side by Side. The comparison report is shown on the first page, with the differences highlighted and marked on both files.

Combined. Differences are marked on the Changed document (used to display results) with a summary of differences attached to the top of the first page.

The first page of the document summarizes the comparison results, which include A. Files compared B. Summary of differences – pages which were added, deleted, matched, and replaced C. The legends used in the report. The files compared are placed side by side in the comparison report with differences marked on both files.
