Workspace basics
The Right PDF Editor workspace contains 10 key areas, which are Home View, Quick Access Toolbar, Ribbon tabs, File tabs, Document message bar, Find a Tool, Document Properties/Preferences shortcuts, Document pane, Page viewing controls bar and Sidebar Navigation pane.

The following descriptions demonstrate the function of each section, starting from Quick Access Toolbar:

Sidebar Navigation pane
A. Home View
Start page shows when you click the Start tab or launch Right PDF Editor without opening any document. This page provides quick access to recent files and commonly used tools, while the left panel offers ways to open or create PDFs.
B. Quick Access Toolbar
Available in the top-left corner on Editor window, the customizable Quick Access Toolbar enables you to quickly access your favorite tools and commands.

C. Find a Tool
The Find a Tool feature helps you locate the tool you need and lets you use it directly. In accordance with the characters entered into the field, a list of matched results will be displayed below so that you can choose one from. If applicable, it will also open a panel corresponding to the feature to the left of the document pane. For more information, see Find a Tool.
D. Ribbon tabs
Right PDF Editor’s ribbon design provides sets of tools grouped together based on the purpose they serve. For example, if you wish to have a watermark added on a page, on the Document tab, in the Assemble panel, select Watermarks.

E. Document tabs
Tab viewing bar groups multiple open documents. Each open file appears as tabs below the Ribbon Tabs. There are left and right arrows at the far right of the tabs that help you navigate the open files. You can reorder the tabs and open the files as individual windows. Go to Preferences to default the tab interface always on.

F. Document message bar
The document message bar, located right beneath the Ribbon section, appears as long as there are interactive form fields or signatures within the document. Also, the Highlight Fields button to the right of the message bar can be used to help you locate interactive form fields in the document.
Note: after Document message bar is hidden, click the “Show notification” button
to the left of the work area to reveal it.

G. Document Properties/Preferences Shortcuts
You can view and change document properties/preferences settings using the shortcuts located in the top-right corner of Document pane. Or, you can access them choosing File > Info/Preferences.

H. Document pane
You can perform all commands and get your work done within the Document pane. Further, with Split commands, you can divide Document pane into two or four separate viewing screens.
I. Page viewing controls bar
Page viewing controls options allow you to go to a specific page, retrace page views, change the zoom level, and adjust page layout and orientation for you to achieve optimal reading experience.
The following is the Page viewing controls bar at the bottom of the work area:

A. View rotation: Rotate View Clockwise (Left); Rotate View Counterclockwise (Right)
B. Retracing page views: Previous view (Left): Next view (Right)
C. Page Layout: Single page, Continuous, Continuous Facing, Facing, and Document Assembly
D. Separate cover page: display cover page (the first page) alone in facing or continuous facing page view mode.
E. Page controls: First Page – Previous Page – Page Number text box – Next Page – Last Page (from left to right)
F. View modes: Fit the page and show one page at a time (Left); Fit width and scroll pages continuously (Right)
G. Zoom level controls: Zoom Out button (Left), Zoom Value text box and the Zoom Value menu button (Mid), Zoom In button (Right)
H. Start full screen: Display a PDF file in full screen mode.
J. Sidebar Navigation Pane
The Sidebar Navigation pane includes diverse panels listed vertically on the left side of the work area. With the exception of default panels, others will become visible in the sidebar only when an associated function is performed in a document.
